In these before/after shots you’ll see that my focus is on improving function and access for my clients, so that they can find more peace at home and engage in activities they want to.
Using kitchen drawers for snacks
This drawer was being used for food storage containers, and there wasn't enough space, so we moved them into a pantry closet. We then moved snacks into this drawer and the one above as snacks were getting lost in the pantry and required frequent and easy access.
Setting up the extra basement space to function for storage.
This large extra room in the basement was full of miscellaneous items and wasn’t accessible. We grouped like items, put them on shelves and in bins, and cleared surfaces, so that the client could engage more easily in activities such as home repair, gardening, camping, and sports.
Improving access to the garage.
This couple’s garage was packed with items, had become inaccessible, and was buying extra items because they couldn't find things. We purged, grouped like items, and matched items to the spaces available. At the end the client exclaimed: “Oh my god it’s a miracle! This is like a whole new house!”
Making the best use of an extra closet space
This closet in a young kid’s bedroom had a lot of space, but was being used for a variety of items and became just miscellaneous and confusing. We decided it could be best used for overflow clothing and shoes storage, which relieved a lot of congestion in the main bedroom closet, and many of the current items were able to be archived or donated.
Maximizing space for a home office and craft room.
This client’s small home office doubles as a craft room, and she’s involved in many craft activities. With some light purging and creative space planning we found spaces for everything, and she delights in putting items away. At the end the client said: “I didn’t think this was possible. I feel more hopeful about being and staying organized than I ever have.”
Organizing a kitchen tools drawer
This kitchen drawer was used for a variety of items. We defined its purpose as kitchen tools, moving some items to another place with similar ones, and we moved in kitchen tools from other areas. We then divided the drawer into section to help the items stay organized.
Making a garage usable.
This garage was packed with items such that it wasn’t able to be accessed. First my client sold items, and I took some away for donations. Then we grouped like items, and set them in place so everything became accessible.
