In these before/after shots you’ll see that my focus is on improving function and access for my clients, so that they can find more peace at home and engage in activities they want to.
Making a garage usable.
This garage was so packed it wasn’t able to be used effectively. We grouped like items and optimized where items were placed based on size and options in the garage. We put items in bins when we could, and labeled everything. At the end the client exclaimed: “Oh my god it’s a miracle! This is like a whole new house!"
Making the best use of a deep pantry closet
This pantry closet was extra wide and deep, which made the small size of pantry food items get easily disorganized. Pots and food storage containers were in kitchen drawers too small for those items, so we swapped them. We moved pantry items to smaller cabinets and drawers in the kitchen, and used this big closet for larger items.
Defining a purpose for a kitchen nook
In this house there’s a space next to the kitchen which ended up being storage and clutter because it didn’t have a purpose. We optimized the room layout to make a comfy chair and shelving available, defined groups of items to go onto shelves and cabinets, and labeled everything.
Organizing an office/craft room closet
This room functions as both an office and a craft room, and the closet had a mix of everything. We selected what made sense to keep in this closet vs. elsewhere, and then matched up items to the spaces available.
Organizing a university department supplies closet
This supplies closet is hard to keep organized because it's used for different events and classes, and by a variety of different people. I set up a simple and labeled structure, grouping like items, so it became easier to maintain.
Maximizing space for a home office and craft room.
This client’s small home office doubles as a craft room, and she’s involved in many craft activities. With some light purging and creative space planning we found spaces for everything, and she delights in putting items away. At the end the client said: “I didn’t think this was possible. I feel more hopeful about being and staying organized than I ever have.”
Using kitchen drawers for snacks
This drawer was being used for food storage containers, and there wasn't enough space, so we moved them into a pantry closet. We then moved snacks into this drawer and the one above as snacks were getting lost in the pantry and required frequent and easy access.
Organizing a bathroom drawer
This drawer had a lot of different items, without a very effective organizing structure. We sorted items into categories, and then chose a structure that helped divide the drawer into simple (and not too small) areas for different items.
Adding storage space to a garage
This garage holds a lot of different items and has some limited shelving. We added an entire bay of shelving and bins so that we could organize everything for easy access.
Organizing a toiletries closet
This closet had a coherent set of toiletries in it, but there wasn't a strong structure to help them stay organized. I added additional structure and refined groupings to fit the different spaces available.
Organizing a pantry
This pantry has two sides and some awkward shelving access. We removed items not related to the pantry, and optimized the location of items based on frequency of use and visibility needed.
Organizing a basement craft storage room.
This room was filled with a variety of different items. We moved the bankers boxes with papers to another area in the basement, and focused this room on just craft storage. We made zones for decor, craft, and linen storage and purchased some bins for the craft items.

Food Storage Containers
I recommend grouping and stacking containers by size (small, medium, large), with their lids. Matching lids one-to-one can be too space-consuming, and putting all lids together can be messy and confusing.
