Overall Process

Here is the general process across my offerings:
Define
Outline the project on a free intro call. Before working with people I set up a video call to discuss the project, process, and determine alignment.
Discover
Understand goals and strategize. We develop a preliminary plan and strategy for how to do the work.
Design
Come up with ideas and options. We brainstorm different options, align on a direction, and set it up using existing items as feasible.
Deliver
Finalize organizing systems. We assess and adjust the system as needed and discuss a maintenance plan.

How Organizing & Downsizing/Move projects work

  • Collaboration: I work side-by-side with clients to understand how they work so I can design for and with them. By working together I can identify and support the development of processes and habits that can help people stay organized.
  • Scheduling & Payment: Sessions are typically a few hours at a time (2 hours minimum), and fees are charged in 30 minute increments. The end time is determined by energy and task completion. Sessions may be scheduled in advance or as we go, and fees are charged at the end of each session.
  • Donations & Selling: I take donations (except large furniture and building materials) for free, unless my car is full in which case I’ll add on 30 minutes of time to make a special trip. I don’t sell for clients, but can make recommendations of different places based on the situation.
  • Homework: Doing assignments between sessions can make it faster and more economical. Tasks may include the client going through stuff on their own, implementing actions from the session, and/or making purchases.

How Time Management & Leadership Consulting projects work

  • Fees: Consulting services are offered in packages of three sessions, which are paid for as a package in advance.
  • Scheduling: The first session is 1.5 hours and in-person (if in the Seattle area). Future sessions are 1-1.5 hours and can be virtual or in-person depending on the needs and locations.

Gift Certificates

I consider organizing to be a self-care activity and think it can make a great gift! Here are some guidelines for purchasing gift certificates:
  • Scheduling & Payment: Gift certificates may be purchased for two hours or more, in 30 minute increments. Three hours is a good amount of time to get something substantial accomplished. Gift certificates are paid ahead of time via check or Venmo.
  • Location: The recipient must live within the Seattle area, or a location pre-approved by me.
  • Video Call: I require a video intake call with the recipient before the project starts to ensure there’s a fit. If for some reason it’s determined there isn’t a good fit a full refund will be issued.
  • Requesting a Gift Certificate: To obtain a gift certificate please fill out the Get in Touch contact form, and when it's finalized I'll email a gift certificate PDF to the purchaser and/or recipient as requested.
